A little about me…
Hi, I’m Rebecca. I am a mom, wife, registered nurse (RN), farmer and passionate foodie. Like many of you, I’ve had a long journey with food and its overall effects on health. My journey has taken me from consumer of mass-produced foods to an enlightened food enthusiast who loves growing her own nutrient-dense food on our family farm and making food from scratch. For the past several years, I follow a low carb, high fat (LCHF) and Keto friendly way of eating. Many of the recipes I share will be LCHF and Keto, however there will be some of my family’s favorite recipes, including nostalgic recipes that were handed down from generations past. Others will be inspired from the great food that I’ve had while traveling. I love to travel as a means of experiencing new foods, traditional methods of making food and food culture in general.
Although I love the food I eat when I travel, nothing beats a homemade meal, made from the best fresh ingredients that you’ve grown and raised or that you can get your hands on.
My hopes for this blog will be to educate, enlighten and inspire and to maybe help some friends along the way.
Cheers in good health,
Rebecca
